Album Review on Lil Wayne

Rebirth is Lil Wayne’s seventh album and it was released on the 2nd of February this year. Rebirth is Lil Wayne’s rock music debut and fans of his would probably find this album a little different from his previous ones in terms of music style for there’s little R&B and hip hop element in his latest album. The album includes tracks like “On Fire” and “Prom Queen” which features Shannell. One hip hop track in the album would be “Drop the World” which features Eminem.
The top 2 highlights in the album are “Prom Queen” and “Drop the World” which peaked at #15 and #18 respectively on Billboard Hot 100. “Prom Queen” is a rather hard rock song and it is one of the best hits in Rebirth. The drums and guitar are nice but the lyrics made little sense. But all in all, I would say it’s the best track in the album.
I am glad to say that “Drop the World” is one song that still retains the hip hop flavor and the pair up with Eminem is definitely a good choice that made the song such a hit.
Therefore if you’re a huge fan of Lil Wayne, rock songs or simply love loud songs, do check out this album. Aside from that, this album is probably too loud for most folks out there.
Radio Fusion gives it 2.5 out of 5 stars.
